AMCs: Airborne molecular contaminations .Advanced manufacturing clean rooms not only require the air to be the most pure, but also impose stringent cleanliness requirements on raw materials, chemicals, and manufacturing equipment (all approaching extreme levels of purity) in close proximity. The temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow velocity, and air molecular contaminants such as Airborne Molecular Contaminants (AMCs) within the clean room must all be strictly controlled to ensure high product yield

Why strict control of Airborne Molecular Contaminants (AMCs) is necessary.

Atmospheric air contains micron per cubic meter (ppb) levels of Airborne Molecular Contaminants (AMCs). Additionally, in photovoltaic manufacturing processes, the use of numerous chemical reagents entering the atmosphere through the discharge system causes diffusion effects that easily form secondary pollution to the manufacturing process, thereby impacting product yield.
